Dr. Stanciu became affiliated with the DentalWorks family in 1994 in Chicago. He attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and graduated in 1989 with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. Undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Illinois College of Engineering where Dr. Stanciu was accepted into an accelerated program in Biomedical Engineering. In addition tohis Dental curriculum, he continued to explore his interests and applied his engineering education to design protocol and perform research for the center of Periodontal Pathology and Oral Molecular Biology in Chicago. Dr. Stanciu also worked in conjunction with the University of Illinois College of Medicine where he taught post-doctoral Dermatology residents techniques in tissue culturing. Dr. Stanciu became a member of the ADA in 1986 and has been practicing dentistry for nearly 30 years. Dedicated to patient care, he makes every effort to comfort his patients and gain their trust through his understanding of their dental needs and desires. Dr. Stanciu complies with all continuing education requirements to assure his Ohio Dental License remains current.When Dr. Stanciu is not chair side caring for his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family. His interests include cooking, gardening, skiing, golfing and astronomy. He met his wife in dental school;they graduated in the same class, and were married in 1990. Dr. Stanciu moved from Chicago to the Toledo area in 2003 with his family. He and his wife have two daughters: one is studying Pharmacy at the University of Toledo and the other intends to study International Business.
