Dr. Cindy Ding has always been interested in biological sciences and learning about how the human body works. She pursued her Bachelor of Science in physiology and neurobiology from the University of Maryland. She continued her education and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013 from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She chose to focus her career in orthodontics because of how rewarding it is to see the physical results of her hard work. She loves a mental challenge and because each tooth needs to fit into a precise location in the mouth, it is a very fulfilling career. Helping a patient achieve the perfect smile that will impact his or her life positively is a privilege and honor to her.
Dr. Ding keeps her skillset sharp by taking several continuing education courses, such as Invisalign and Incognito. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Elevate Dental Study Club and the Invisalign Women’s Study Club. She was also selected to be a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society, which accepts only the top 10 percent of each dental class.
When she is not creating beautiful smiles for her patients, Dr. Ding enjoys volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, and staying active through yoga and volleyball. Dr. Ding is an avid hiker, and has completed many “fourteeners,” including Quandary, Sherman, Grays, Torreys and Bierstadt!
Dr. Ding lives by the quotes: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way” and “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.” She looks forward to making a positive impact in your personal and professional life!
