Dr. David Sun believes in providing dental care that meets the individual needs of each of his patients. Dr. Sun attended the University of Texas Austin and earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 2015. He has always been interested in how the body works in a micro-scale when it comes to atoms and molecules since most education focuses on a macro scale of organs and organ systems. He then went on to earn his dentistry degree from New York University of Dentistry and graduated in 2020.
Dr. Sun thinks dentistry is both an art and a science. Practitioners must be competent in their knowledge of science and dentistry while still having the capabilities to work with their hands. Additionally, he gets to help patients with their smile and provide them with a smile they’re comfortable with showing off.
Dr. Sun is interested in taking courses related to practice management, implants, surgical skills, and any other education that will allow him to provide better care for his patients. He is continuing his education in breakaway business courses and spears education. He is also a part of the Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Sun also volunteers his time at Texas Mission of Mercy.
In his spare time, Dr. Sun enjoys basketball, working out, watching movies, and traveling. His words to live by were spoken by Kobe Bryant, “Everything negative – pressure, challenges – is all an opportunity for me to rise.”
