Dr. Fatan Kasbidi earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetic Technology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 2007. She continued her studies in 2014 at the University of Texas School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Even though she has spent numerous years completing academic degree programs, she continues to grow her knowledge base by taking additional orthodontics, dental implants, cosmetic, endodontics and pediatric dentistry courses.
Dr. Kasbidi’s motivation to pursue a career in dentistry came from her mother, who was diagnosed with oral cancer that invaded her teeth on the left side and hard palate. Her mother’s diagnosis made her realize she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others maintain excellent oral health.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Kasbidi enjoys running and doing yoga, but she also loves to write. She has published numerous short stories and paintings for children and papers defending human rights. She is currently writing self-help and spiritual journals.
Dr. Kasbidi is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Academy of General Dentistry. She has also volunteered at the Star of the South, Give a Kid a Smile Day, Star of Hope, the Food Bank and the McDonald Rotary house.
One of her favorite quotes by Dr. Maya Angelou is, “When you learn, teach! When you get, give!”
