Louis Guillory

Dr. Guillory

Dr. Louis Guillory’s fascination with the proper form and function of the human body began after his third grade teacher, Mrs. Heil, required the memorization of the major bones of the human skeleton. He continued his interest in the human body and studied anatomy and physiology, and completed his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics degree from the University of New Mexico in 2004. Dr. Guillory was then encouraged to pursue study in the field of dentistry by his orthodontist, Dr. Gilbert. Dr. Guillory quickly discovered that overall health can be evaluated through examination of a person’s dental health. He hoped to build upon his nutritional foundation and therefore attended Creighton University School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2010. He then sought further dental education and pursued an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at the University of New Mexico in 2011.

Dr. Guillory’s passion to learn causes him to constantly enroll in continuing education courses in all areas of general dentistry. He has been a member of the American Dental Association as well as the local and state dental associations since 2010. Dr. Guillory hopes to develop and present continuing education courses in the future.

In his spare time, Dr. Guillory is likely found trudging along well-worn hiking paths through the mountains or chasing and aimlessly swinging at the stubborn little white ball on the golf course. He enjoys cinematic features and cooking, and will never turn down a fictional novel.

Dr. Guillory looks forward to helping his patients achieve and maintain optimal dental health.
