Dr. Maria Diaz-Ramos earned her degrees, a BA in Biology in 1993 and a DMD in 2001, from the University of Puerto Rico. With over 14 years of experience, she keeps herself up to date with the continuous changes in the dental field through continuing education courses and her involvement with the Colegio de Cirujanos Dentistas (College of Dental Surgeons). Beyond general dentistry, Dr. Diaz also practices cosmetic and pediatric dentistry, as well as providing emergency care to her patients. When asked why she chose a career in dentistry, Dr. Diaz says, “Personally, dentistry changed my life; it created a need in me to help others have a positive and uplifting change in their lives, too.” In her personal time, Dr. Diaz enjoys outdoor walks, reading, cooking, and volunteering with kids at her church. Her favorite quote and words to live by are those of Dr. Maya Angelou, “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”
