Nisha Sridharan

Dr. Nisha Sridharan likes to focus on prevention and keeping her patients comfortable and relaxed during their dental visits. She earned her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Dental surgery at Manipal University, Mangalore, India in 2015. Which is ranked top 3 among dental schools in India. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in April 2020. Where she also received the Ann Tschirley Gunatillike scholarship for academic achievement.

Dr. Sridharan regularly likes to keep up with upcoming materials and technology by participating in continuing education courses in restorative/general dentistry as well as oral surgery. She is involved in the Michigan Dental Association (MDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). She also volunteered at the Blind service association in Chicago prior to starting dental school in Chicago.

Growing up Dr. Sridharan spent her summers at her grandfather’s clinic. He was a general surgeon in southern India. She loved science and knew at a very young age that she wanted to be a doctor. She was also very good at working with her hands and realized that dentistry is the perfect combination of art and science. She knew it was the right profession for her and she enjoys doing it every day.

During her time off she loves to crochet and work on craft projects. She also enjoys running with her dog, playing classical piano, and traveling with her husband. Her words to live by are, “comfort is the enemy of progress.”
