Dr. Purvi Vakil-Bhandari is an Illinois board-certified dentist. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in Psychology and Biology and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, San Francisco.
She chose dentistry because she values patient interaction, science, and technology. Dr. Vakil-Bhandari enjoys working with patients to restore their oral health and function and hopes to transform the future of healthcare with a focus on a dental experience full of compassion, integrity, and skill.
She is Invisalign Certified and currently participates in continuing education courses in all aspects of general dentistry: technological advancements in dentistry, patient comfort, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and implant dentistry. She is also working on obtaining a fellowship track with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Vakil-Bhandari is involved with various organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Association, The Dawson Academy, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Vakil-Bhandari recently moved to the area with her husband and children. She enjoys exploring the Chicagoland area, traveling, staying active, and reading. Dr. Vakil-Bhandari has been recognized for her work on the E-Human Dental Dental Tooth Atlas, the Dental Virtual Home, the American Association for Dental Research Meeting award, and has been recognized by Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
