Raveena Shah

“A smile is a curve that sets everything straight” is a quote Dr. Raveena Shah keeps close to her heart. Dr. Shah attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience in 2016. Growing up, she always had an interest in biology and psychology. The University of Illinois at Chicago neuroscience degree provided her with a balanced blend of the two. She then went on to obtain her dental degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry where she graduated in 2020.

Dr. Shah’s interest in dentistry started in high school when she shadowed her uncle who’s an orthodontist, and her childhood dentist. They both were passionate about dentistry and taught her the value of providing dental care to their communities. As she learned more about dentistry throughout the years, she realized dentistry complemented her interests, strengths, and skills, as dentistry is a hands-on, patient-oriented career.

She continues to take classes to further her education in restorative dentistry, orthodontics, sleep apnea, endodontics, laser therapy, oral pathology, and psychological fear/anxiety in dentistry. Dr. Shah is certified in Invisalign and laser therapy and is involved in the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Illinois State Dental Society. She also received the Quintessence Award – Clinical Achievement in Periodontics in 2020.

Dr. Shah’s hobbies include painting, cooking, and hiking. Her ideal day off would be exploring a new coffee shop around Chicago and learning a new board game with her family and friends!
