About Dr. Spurgas

Dr. Spurgas is a graduate of Virginia Tech and Medical College of Virginia and completed a General Practice Residency at West Virginia University. He was the Chief of Dental Service at three Veterans Administration Medical Centers. With over 23 years with the VA and a great deal of clinical experience treating medically-compromised as well as geriatric patients, Dr. Spurgas is very well rounded in most dentistry procedures. He has taught dental residents at University of Rochester (Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY) and also dental students at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine (Cleveland, OH). He is a retired Colonel in the United States Army Reserve and his career of 23 years included a deployment to Iraq. Dr. Spurgas has over 30 years of clinical experience, including 13 years with this company in Cleveland, OH before moving to the area in 2010. Dr. Spurgas is a general dentist whose interests include all phases of restorative dentistry and oral surgery. When not taking care of patients, his interests include golf, boating and racquetball. Dr. Spurgas currently resides in Mooresville with his wife. They have four children.
