About Dr. Elliston

Dr. Elliston has provided competent and compassionate dental health care for 33 years including 23 years in his own Asheville-based private practice.  His experience spans restorative services such as white colored restorations to veneers and natural looking crowns to tooth replacement prosthetics, dental surgery, nutritional and smoking cessation counseling, endodontic therapy, dental implants, and bite therapy.  Dr. Elliston is a member of the North Carolina Dental Society, the Buncombe County Dental Society, the Charlotte Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree at the Medical College of Georgia and stays abreast of the latest dental techniques by taking advantage of continuing education courses.  Dr. Elliston achieved his Fellowship status from the Academy of General Dentistry.  This accomplishment represents a minimum of 500 hours of post dental continuing education culminating in successfully passing a comprehensive 400-question examination. Only 7% of AGD dentists achieve this designation and the diploma is awarded at a formal ceremony.  Dr. Elliston is committed to lifelong education.  This helps him stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and allows him to provide you and your family with quality treatment.  Ultimately, you can be confident with your diagnosis and dental treatment options. Dr. Elliston has offered his professional dental services volunteering at MOM (Missions of Mercy), ABCCM (Asheville Buncombe County Christian Ministries) and Eblen Foundation Charities. An avid golfer, Dr. Elliston spends most of his free time on the golf course or at the gym. He has been a resident of North Carolina for the past 29 years and enjoys playing on the local courses year-round.
