Dr. Sonam Sood was born and raised in India where she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008. She volunteered to provide dental care to underprivileged children and later went on to work at an urban trauma center as an Urgent Care Dentist, working very closely with medical doctors (neurosurgeons, ENT specialists and plastic surgeons) in crafting treatment plans for head and neck trauma patients. She moved to the United States in 2009 and worked as a dental assistant. In 2013 after attending the International Dental Degree Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Since then she has been practicing general dentistry, providing passionate care to her patients while making them feel at ease in the chair. Dr. Sood can speak multiple languages including Hindi, Urdu as well as English. She focuses on honing her general dentistry skills by attending a variety of continuing education courses every year. She lives in the South West suburbs of Chicago and enjoys cooking, traveling and working out in her free time.
